Halloween Hair Clips

My daughter told me she was going to wear these every day!

That makes me so happy!

Isn't she a cutie!??

I was inspired by this post at A girl and a glue gun.  This is so cool!

And I didn't feel like getting all dressed up this year. 

So I bought a bunch of spiders and made my own shirt! (I'll show you the shirt tomorrow...maybe.) but I needed a hair clip to match and made some for Annabelle too! 

This one's mine.  I love these clips from the craft store.  You can embelish with so much.  I've covered these in rosettes and buttons before.

For my spider clip I hot glued ribbon to cover the clip and cut off the ring of the spider rings and glued them on.  Pretty simple!

Here's a close up of the top.  The spider web ribbon is so cool and it's a little glittery too!

This is a close up of one of Annabelle's clips.  I made her two using little clippies.  I try to use a lot of hot glue because little girls can be hard on hair clips!

I can't wait to wear my shirt and hair clip!

Hobo Bag

I did a lot of sewing this weekend.  I made my toddler blanket for a friend who just had a baby boy.  She loved it because it was big.  I shared her frustration of having a million baby blankets that were teeny tiny.  It turned out great!

Then I made the Hobo bag from MADE.  Love that blog! Her tutorial was great!
My little girl needed a bag to tote her tap shoes to and from school.  She helped me make it.  Atleast she watched and was thrilled with the results.  I used ribbon as the straps too and I like it!

My husband requested one to carry his lunch in to work! I guess I'll add that to the list!

Baby Gift: Quick and Easy

I wanted to make something for my new baby neice, Carys and didn't have a lot of time.

They didn't know what they were having until she arrived and I wanted to make her something really girly and frilly.  This is what I came up with. 

You'll need:

baby onesie or bodysuit

pins

ribbons

sewing stuff

Pin your ribbon to the color of your shirt.  Make it ruffled for extra girly-ness!:)

Sew your ribbon in place. Make sure to backstitch for extra security!

I made a couple of these.  One with rick rack and one with some pretty eyelet lace.  I,of course, didn't take pictures.  I was really in a hurry to make them but they didn't take long at all! I think my sister-in-law liked them!
