The Pregnant Enterpreneur Book Review

I have been so excited to share with you The Pregnant Entrepeneur by Darla DeMorrow. I was sent a book to review and although I am not pregnant I found it useful as a mother running her own business.

The book is full of insightful information on how to run your own business if you get pregnant or want to start your own business while pregnant. Darla gives great advice on how to start or run a small business but also advice on how to manage being pregnant while doing it. But you don't have to be pregnant to gain from this book. There are critical questions at the end of each chapter that will help guide you and think about the tasks you'll need to handle while expecting. She also offers a business plan model and a marketing plan. I will be using these plans to help guide me in my own business ventures.

One theme that really resonated with me is "do what you love." Darla really focuses on this. At the end of the day we all want to be happy and work is easier if we do what we love.
I also really loved Darla's words here:

"I want my daughter to grow up knowing that she can write her own rules, just as I've written my own."
As I think about my own transition from working mom to work at home mom, I keep my daughter in the back of my mind. I hope she will some day realize how I've written my own rules.
