My poor little guy fell at the play place at Chik-Fil-A. I heard the bang of his head hitting the play structure and then his scream that the whole restaurant heard. I swooped him up to comfort him and after a minute assessed the damage. He had the biggest goose egg over his eye that I have ever seen. I was by myself with the kids. My husband, a nurse, is level headed in these situations. I am the comfort parent. He is the one who deals with the blood and bumps.
Before I had a chance to break down and truly panic, three mothers, (THREE!), came to my rescue. Two run to get ice for his head. One, who happened to also be a nurse, checked out his head and comforted my daughter (who was upset about our abrupt retreat from the play place). They gathered our shoes and coats and even fetched balloons for both my kids. I was so grateful! I could not say Thank you enough times!
Anyway, I need a little cheering up after last night.
This morning, Dashiell's eye is blue and he can only open it half way but he is happy and playing and watching his favorite shows.
I hope you are all having a great weekend and have lots to inspire me today!

I also wanted to mention or bring your attention to the lack of "rules" for my linky party. Truth is if it is inspiring link it up. I truly don't care if you link back or if you link up something you sale. If you have a great item in your etsy shop, link it! If you wrote an interesting story about being a parent, link it! Don't spam the linky list, of course, and keep linking up those great craft projects and recipes. Love them all!
